Music in the Meadow

Plein air painting on a cool spring morning near the Ahwahnee Meadow looking across the Valley towards Monday Morning Slab.  The painting went together easily from the inspiration of the air, view, and feeling confident that I could say what I wanted to say.  Some paintings are a struggle, with edits, questions, but not this one.  Reflective of this moment in time before the heat of the day arrived. The photo below shows the block-in stage.  Framed in a deep float frame.
