Golden Hills of Mariposa

After an alarming heat wave here in the foothills, I was rising very early to set up outside on my deck out to the back of the house.  Such a wonderful view and I like this capture in paint of my view.  I kept it simple without a lot of brushstrokes and am happy with the results.

NOTE:  I entered this painting in a local art gallery show and it won 2nd place in the oil painting division!  It's beautifully framed.
