Reach to the Sky, Mt. Dana

I made this painting from a drawing done in the High Sierra.  This studio painting captures the joy of a storm coming in, the clouds and the deep blue sky that we all love so well near Tioga Pass.  The sky and the clouds took over and I let them.  I do follow my strong-willed muse, and I am seldom disappointed with this effort.
