Spring, Yosemite Foothills

Acrylic ink and oil paint has become a favorite of mine because I get to make a strong drawing in line and shapes, and then work the oil painting over that in the studio.  The ink drawing allows me to interpret the landscape in a very direct method:  drawing outdoors.  It also has helped with the challenges of visiting Yosemite to make art, as I'm spending more time on the painting.  This turned out to be a joyful painting!
